Quilt

This festive 66" square quilt is easy to make. Begin with the center Square-in-a-Square block that features the large scenic print, cut on point and framed with red triangles. Handle the bias edges on the center square and the triangles carefully so that you don't stretch them while cutting or sewing. Tip: spraying the fabrics with sizing or starch before cutting helps to stabilize bias edges. Frame the completed Square-in-a-Square block with a series of six borders. Only Border #2 is pieced. Use Template A to cut the small triangles for the Hourglass blocks for this border. Then, sew on the border strips following the Quilt Diagram and prepare the quilt backing. To finish, layer, baste, quilt, and bind and you'll have a cozy quilt to enjoy for the holidays and keep you warm all winter long!
