We are getting "Back to Business" in getting ready for Fall classes.  I have started adding more classes to the schedule-fun little things for great gifts-of just something for yourself.  If there is a class you would like to see, please let me know.  Also, if there is a class that you would like to teach, please contact me.

2019 Mary Ghormley Memorial Lecture in North Platte

Meg Cox will present "Quilt Journalist Tells All," this year's Mary Ghormley Memorial Lecture. Featuring quilts from Cox's personal collection, the lecture will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Prairie Arts Center, 416 N Jeffers St., in North Platte, Neb.

Meg Cox is a journalist and thought leader on quilting and traditions who lectures at guilds, shows and museums. Her popular newsletter Quilt Journalist Tells All! features news, reviews and monthly giveaways. As a Wall Street Journal staff writer for 17 years, her beats included philanthropy, publishing and the business of the arts. She has contributed articles for many national magazines, and is the author of the bestselling resource guide The Quilter’s Catalog. She is past president of the Quilt Alliance, a national nonprofit established in 1993 with a mission to document, preserve, and share our American quilt heritage by collecting the rich stories that historic and contemporary quilts, and their makers, tell about our nation’s diverse peoples and their communities.

The theme this year is Holiday Celebrations-and Thomas has quite a story to tell.  He will be a free pattern to pick up in the shop-or we will be featured as a free download
during the adventure for a couple days. We will let you know the days of our free download once they are announced. We will also have kits available for purchase-I think he will be the
perfect and fun addition to your project!

Work in a happy customer place! Successful applicant must have good math skills, computer knowledge, and sewing/quilting skills required. Good color planning skills helpful. Mostly weekday hours-occasional Saturday-approximate 8-12 hours average week. Must be dependable and people oriented. Apply in person.

We would also consider a high school or college student for part time help
