Something that touches me deeply is stories of Christmases past. One of my favorite movies is A Christmas Story. Love the memories it shares of Christmas in a simpler time. When a story ran in our local newspaper about a Santa mural discovered during a remodel of a local building-it was so inspiring-in fact I took elements of that mural and created a hooked rug. It is simply called "Sears Santa". We are pleased to announce that the rug is featured in the just released issue of Wool Works Magazine Winter 2018. This is just a glimpse-come to the shop to see the original-or pick up a copy to read the article and it includes a pattern to make your own version.

There are 8 simply adorable and crazy projects included in this club along with a bonus 9th project that can be made with leftover blocks from the previous projects. Our club fee entitles you to the pattern emailed to you each month beginning mid January through September. You will also receive a 10% discount on any fabrics or kits purchased for your projects. Eggnog Cinnamon Bread
Ingredients:

Bread
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 cup Egg Nog1 Tablespoon Milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup Sour Cream
Swirl Topping
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
2 Tablespoons water
Icing Glaze
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 Tablespoons Egg Nog

Pre-heat the oven to 350. Prep a loaf or other small pan with cooking spray.
In the bowl of a stand mixer combine all your dry ingredients and mix. Add in the wet ingredients one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add bread dough to prepared pan.
In a small bowl combine swirl ingredients together – sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg & water. Spread it evenly over bread dough and then using a knife swirl it into the top of the dough to incorporate it into the bread.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until you insert a toothpick and it comes out clean. Remove the bread from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, make the glaze ingredients by combining 1/2 cup powdered sugar with 1 tablespoon Egg Nog. When the bread has cooled, pour the glaze over the top and serve. Enjoy!.
